Opening Ceremony has launched it’s new online store offering emerging American talent with both young and established designers from abroad. Ongoing collaborations include Chloë Sevigny, Postalco, Uniqlo, Comme des Garcons, Pendleton, Nike and Tretorn.
Browns Shoe Store
Browns announces the introduction of its first stand alone shoe store, launching in Spring 09. The store will carry the very best selection of international designers including Comme des garcons, Lanvin, Raf Simons, Rick Owens, Bottega Veneta and YSL, as well as up-and-coming new talent.
Browns will also be offering bespoke made shoes, repair services and special events.
Adidas SLVR
This Spring adidas will be introducing their new SVLR collection. Priced in between the regular line and the expensive Y-3 collection, SVLR will be offering performance inspired clothing with more style. Flagships in New York’s Soho and later in Paris are in the works.
Louis Vuitton & Stephen Sprouse
Late fashion designer and artist Stephen Sprouse is back in fashion news with the launch of a new collection by Louis Vuitton. A retrospective of his graffiti prints and neon aesthetic called “Rock on Mars” will also be shown at Deitch Projects’ 18 Wooster Street gallery in New York City from Jan. 8 to Feb. 28 and a new book “The Stephen Sprouse Book,” by Roger Padilha and Mauricio Padilha is due out from Rizzoli New York at the start of 2009.
