Stephen J. Shanabrook for Comme des Garcons SHIRT

Comme des Garcons SHIRT are famed for their quiky ad campaigns, and this season is no exception. They have collaborated with artist Stephen J. Shanabrook, using images from his series ‘Paper Surgeries’. Playing on magazines, fashion and photography, the images (made in collaboration with Veronika Georgieva) blur the lines between beauty and ugliness. His artworks are also due to appear on the actual shirts from the collection.
StudioThompson and B Store

StudioThomson is celebrating its fifth birthday with a pop-up exhibition at London’s oh-so-cool B Store on Savile Row. For those not in the know, StudioThomson is a design and art direction agency that has worked across all media from fashion, to music, to art and interiors. The exhibition showcases a selection of their work for key clients including Pringle, Aquascutum and Preen. You can also pick up one of their notebooks displayed in the windows as a memento, which retail for only ten pounds and come come in 40 different shades.
UNIQLO x COLETTE

To tie-in with their highly anticipated first Paris store launch, UNIQLO comes to colette for a shop-in-shop this September with a sneak peak of their wares. The Japanese retailer will offer classics like UT tees, denim and of course cashmere. Act fast to get one of the limited edition knits embroidered with the message “From Tokyo to Colette”.

Six Scents Series

Six Scents Series will feature fragrance collaboration between fashion designers and perfumers; Alexandre Herchcovilch and Joachim Correll, Bernhard Willhelm and Lucas Sieuzac, COSMIC WONDER Light Source and Philippe Paparella-Paris, Gareth Pugh and Emilie Coppermann, Jeremy Scott and Philippe Roques, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi and Mark Buxton. Individually numbered with custom packaging each designer fragrance will be offered as a limited edition. A percentage of the proceeds with go towards awareness and funding for the Designers Against Aids charity. (DAA).

Acne Bianchi

Swedish lifestyle brand ACNE has created its very own racing bicycle with a helping hand from Italian masters Bianchi. Available with dropped handle bars or a classic cross bar, the ACNE/Bianchi racing bike continues from the ACNE women’s NEW STANDARD’s range and is now available for men who want to get in on the action. The frame, based on Bianchi’s Pista model, incorporates a seat finished in brown suede and stamped with the ACNE logo. ACNE has also customized the Pista in three unique colors (originally available in chrome and green); yellow, orange, and pink; exclusive to the collaboration.

Louis Vuitton & Stephen Sprouse

Late fashion designer and artist Stephen Sprouse is back in fashion news with the launch of a new collection by Louis Vuitton. A retrospective of his graffiti prints and neon aesthetic called “Rock on Mars” will also be shown at Deitch Projects’ 18 Wooster Street gallery in New York City from Jan. 8 to Feb. 28 and a new book “The Stephen Sprouse Book,” by Roger Padilha and Mauricio Padilha is due out from Rizzoli New York at the start of 2009.
